Why choose Ducksurprise?
Ducksurprise is the largest webshop in the Netherlands for 3D printed items. Our 3D printed pots are designed for lovers of modern and functional design. Thanks to advanced printing techniques, we can create shapes that are not possible with traditional production methods. This results in pots with unique structures and patterns that immediately stand out. The pots are ideal for plants, but also perfect for use as decorative objects in your interior. From sleek, minimalist shapes to playful and organic designs. There is always a pot that suits your style.
Material & quality
Each pot is made from high-quality plastic that is carefully selected for durability and appearance. Our pots are usually made of PLA or PETG, but sometimes also of ABS or ASA. Please visit our materials page for an explanation of the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of plastic. The 3D printing process allows for small details and unique textures that are not possible with traditional production methods. Slight layer lines or minor imperfections may be visible on the products. This is a normal and characteristic part of the 3D printing process and gives each product its own character. Naturally, all our products meet our high quality standards.
Usage of the pots
Our pots are suitable for both real and artificial plants. When using real plants, please note that the pots are not completely watertight. The 3D printing process involves layering thin sheets of molten plastic to form an object. This can create microscopic holes through which water could eventually leak from the pot. For example, for succulents and cacti, which do not need much water, this should not be a problem. However, if you want to put a plant that needs more water in the pots, we recommend placing a waterproof inner pot inside. This prevents water from leaking through the pot. Please note that, especially PLA, can become brittle with prolonged exposure to moisture. Using an inner pot therefore extends the lifespan of the pot.
To clean the pot, you can use a soft cloth with lukewarm water. Optionally, use a mild cleaning agent for stubborn stains, but avoid aggressive chemicals or abrasives to prevent damage. We advise against placing the pots in the dishwasher, as the heat can deform the material. Always dry the pot thoroughly after cleaning.
The pots can be used both indoors and outdoors. However, consider the material the pot is made of. Most types of material will discolour or become brittle with prolonged exposure to water and/or UV light. If the pot is to be used outdoors, we recommend ASA material. For more information about the different materials we use, please visit our materials page.

Frequently asked questions about jars
Are the pots waterproof?
Our pots are not completely watertight by default. The 3D printing process involves laying down thin layers of molten plastic to form an object. This can create microscopic openings through which water can leak. We therefore always recommend not overwatering the soil. If this is necessary for the intended plant, we advise using an inner pot.
How do I clean the jars?
Our 3D-printed pots can be easily cleaned with a soft cloth and lukewarm water. If necessary, use a mild detergent, but avoid aggressive chemicals or abrasive cleaners to prevent damage. We advise against placing the pots in the dishwasher, as the heat can deform the material. Always dry the pot thoroughly after cleaning.
Can I order a custom size or color?
Customization is possible for many of our pots. If you would like to order the pot in a different color, finish, or size, please feel free to contact us. We would be happy to discuss the possibilities.
If I order multiple items, will they be exactly the same?
Due to the 3D printing process, minor variations may occur, making each pot unique. Of course, the dimensions are always exactly the same. Pots with solid colours will be virtually identical to each other. Pots where the colours blend into each other will differ. If in doubt, please contact us!
